(1) Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(a) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the BAT switch.

Make sure the FUEL VALVE CLOSED (engine fuel shutoff valve) indicator light on the fuel control panel is illuminated dim.

Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the applicable engine start lever.

Remove the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(a) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(5)
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do the steps that follow to remove the switch:
(a)
Remove the electrical connector, D1006, and install protective caps on the connector and plug.
(b)
Put the container below the fuel filter.
(c)
Remove the drain plug for the fuel filter and let the fuel drain in the container.

(d) Remove and discard the O-ring from the drain plug.
(e) Remove the switch. 1) Disconnect the pressure line for the fuel outlet from the top port of the pressure switch, and permit the remaining fuel to drain in the container. 2) Disconnect the pressure line for the fuel inlet from the bottom port of the pressure switch and let the fuel that remains drain in the container.
3) Install the protective caps on the switch fittings and open the pressure lines. 4) Remove the 2 bolts, washers and nuts which attach the forward side of the switch to the bracket. 5) Remove the bolt and washer from the aft side of the switch (this position is provided with a nutplate).
