E.  Gain Adjustment, With the PMC Tester, of the Transducer for the Power Lever Angle (PLA)
 NOTE: You must do this test if you have replaced the PMC, the MEC,
____ or the wiring harnesses for the speed sensor of the N2 control alternator.
 As an alternate procedure, you can do this test with a power cable and a digital voltmeter.

Open the left and right fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

On the PMC, remove the electrical plug from the electrical connector J2 and the protective cap from the electrical connector J5 (Fig. 501).

Connect the PMC Power Supply Unit to the PMC connectors J2 and J5 (Fig. 502).

Set the range on the PMC tester digital voltmeter (DVM) to 0-10 VDC.

Turn on the PMC power supply.

Do these steps to put the forward thrust lever in the fully forward position:


 NOTE: TABLE 1 is given as information because of the engine
____ intermix configurations and spare engine interchanges between operators.

Remove the bolts and washers that attach the aft cover to the fuel control box on the MEC.

Move the left (right) forward thrust lever in the forward direction until the MEC power lever touches the maximum forward thrust stop. 1) The maximum forward thrust stop, POWER LEVER ANGLE, is


 given in TABLE 1 - PLA VOLTAGE CHECK VALUES.
 NOTE: The thrust control box contains a mechanical stop
____ for specific airplane models and engine types.
