Install the N1 speed sensor connector on the receptacle that is found aft of the oil tank at the 4 o'clock position between flanges J and K.
(f)
Install the T12 electrical lead connector on the T12 sensor found on the fan inlet duct at the 3 o'clock position.
(g)
Install the cable connector on the receptacle J3 on the lower surface of the PMC.
(h)
Make sure the wiring harness is not twisted.
1) Connect all the clamps.

(2) Close the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

5. Speed Sensor Cable for the N2 Control Alternator Installation_____________________________________________________________
A. General
(1) For this procedure the N2 control alternator speed sensor cable will be referred to as the speed sensor cable.

E. Procedure

(1) Do these steps to install the speed sensor cable (Fig. 402):
(a) Put the speed sensor cable over the top of the fan case along flange D between the speed sensor, at the top of the AGB and the PMC receptacle, J2.
CAUTION: CAREFULLY ALIGN THE BUILT-IN KEY OF THE CONNECTOR WITH THE
_______ KEYWAY RECEPTACLE BEFORE YOU CONNECT IT TO PREVENT DAMAGE. MOVE ALL OF THE LOOSE CABLE ALONG THE CABLE. DO NOT PERMIT THE CABLE SHEATH TO TOUCH THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS. DO NOT TWIST THE SHEATH BY MORE THAN 180 DEGREES. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(b) Install the electrical connectors of the cable with the procedure that follows: 1) Remove the dust caps. 2) Engage the connector with its mating receptacle.
a) Turn the knurled coupling ring while you move the back shell assembly back and forth.
3) After you fully engage the connector with your hand, tighten the coupling ring with a pair of padded-jaw connector pliers.
4) Make sure the connector is fully engaged. a) The movement of the connector is not permitted.
(c) Install the connector on the speed sensor.
