(5) Apply the sealant to all inner surface openings to make sure the air flow is smooth around the probe.

(6) Connect the electrical cable to the sensor. (a) Remove the covers from the sensor and the cable.. (b) Engage the connector with its mating interface and turn the knurled coupling ring while you carefully shake the back shell assembly. (c) When the connector is fully engaged, tighten the coupling ring with the padded jaw connector pliers. (d) Make sure the probe is correctly installed. The connector must not move.

(7) Do a test the T12 sensor (AMM 73-21-00/501).

(8) Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

T12 TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives one task to examine the T12 temperature sensor. It is not necessary to remove the sensor from the engine to do this task.
B. To examine the T12 temperature sensor, you must do the steps that follow: - open and close the right fan cowl panel
-
visually examine the sensor for damage and blocked air slots
-
visually examine the electrical connector for damage
-do an insulation resistance check of the sensor.
C. The T12 temperature sensor is found on the right side of the inlet duct. It is not necessary to remove the sensor from the engine to do this task.

Examine the sensor housing for the conditions that follow:
(a)
Cracks 1) Not serviceable, replace the sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401).
(b)
Nicks, dents and/or scratches
1) Any number up to 0.030 inch (0.76 mm) in depth are permitted.
