 8)  Tighten the fitting to 900-1100 pound-inches (100-125 Newton meters).
 9)  Install the lockwire.
 (b) Connect the OIL-IN line between the servo fuel heater and the main oil scavenge filter as follows: 1) Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and are not damaged. a) If it is necessary, clean the surfaces with MEK and wipe it dry. 2) Apply a thin layer of engine oil on the seal gasket. 3) Install the seal gasket on the OIL-IN port to the servo fuel heater. 4) Put the OIL-IN line in the correct position on the port on the servo fuel heater. 5) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease on the threads of the four bolts that attach the OIL-IN line to the servo fuel heater. 6) Tighten the bolts to 55-60 pound-inches (6.2-6.8 Newton meters).
 7)  Tighten the bolts that attach the OIL-IN line to the main oil scavenge filter to 55-60 pound-inches (6.2-6.8 Newton meters).

8)  Connect the clamps with the white bushings 1 and 2 to the bracket below the MEC.
 9)  Connect the clamps 3 and 4 that attach the oil return and the OIL-IN lines to the pressurizing valve on the bottom of the MEC.
 10) Tighten the clamp bolts to 100-110 pound-inches
 (11.5-12.5 Newton meters).

 (c)  
Install the FUEL-IN line.

 1)  Tighten the coupling nuts to 650-770 pound-inches (74-87 Newton meters).

 (d)  
Align the 90° elbow fitting with the upper overboard drain line. 1) Connect the drain line. 2) Tighten the elbow fitting to 270-300 pound-inches

 (30-34 Newton meters).
 3) Tighten the coupling nut to 180-200 pound-inches
 (20-23 Newton meters).


 (e)  
Connect the floating clamps between the OIL-IN line and the upper overboard drain line.

 (f)  
Align the 45° elbow fitting with the lower overboard drain line. 1) Connect the drain line. 2) Tighten the elbow fitting to 135-150 pound-inches

 (15-17 Newton meters).
 3) Tighten the coupling nut to 135-150 pound-inches
 (15-17 Newton meters).


 (g)  
Connect the drain line for the main oil/fuel heat exchanger.

 1)  Tighten the coupling nut to 135-150 pound-inches
 (15-17 Newton meters).


 (h)  
Connect the drain line for the starter case.

 1)  Tighten the coupling nut to 270-300 pound-inches
 (30.5-33.9 Newton meters).


 (i)  
Install the clamp block for the drain line below the MEC. 1) Tighten the other clamp blocks downstream of the MEC.

 (j)  
Install the seal gasket on the MEC DISCHARGE port.

(k)  Connect the fuel outlet line with the four bolts.
 1)  Tighten the bolts to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

 (12) ENGINES WITH THE HPTCC TIMER; Connect the PB line to the fuel pump.
 (a)  
Tighten the coupling nut to 135-150 pound-inches
 (15-17 Newton meters).


 (b)  
Tighten the clamp that attaches the PB line to the AGB.

 (13) Install the plumbing lines that follow, on the aft side of the MEC (Fig. 406):
 (a)  
Install the flexible hose between the VSV HEAD end line and the fitting on the MEC. 1) Tighten the coupling nut at the MEC to 450-500 pound-inches

 (51-56 Newton meters). 2) Tighten the coupling nut at the line end to 270-300 pound-inches (30-34 Newton meters).

 (b)  
Install the flexible hose between the rod end line to the VSV and the fitting on the MEC. 1) Tighten the coupling nuts to 270-300 pound-inches
