 (3) Examine the PB and P7 fittings for the conditions that follow:
 (a)  
Cross threading 1) If they are not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 (b)  
Damaged threads. 1) If they are not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 (c)  
Nicks, dents and scratches on the sealing surface. 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 (4) Examine the mounting flanges for the conditions that follow:
 (a)  
Cracks 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 (b)  
Bends or distortion 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 (a)  Kinks or cracks. 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the sensor.

 3. Internal Failure Check of the T2 Temperature Sensor

 A. Equipment
 (1)  Tubing - Clean plastic, 1/2 inch inside diameter, approximately 12 inches (30 cm) long to fit the PB port on the T2 sensor housing.

 D. Procedure (Fig. 602)
 S 016-009-C00
 (1)  
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (2)  
Disconnect the PB and the P7 fuel tubes from the sensor housing.


 NOTE: Use a cloth that absorbs to catch the fuel that is released.

 (a)  Move the tubes aft and to the fan case.

 (3)  Attach the tubing to the PB fitting on the sensor housing.

 WARNING: DO NOT PUT YOUR MOUTH DIRECTLY ON THE PB PORT WHEN YOU BLOW

 INTO IT. USE TUBING. PROTECTION OF YOUR FACE AND CLOTHING
 FROM FUEL WHICH CAN BE BLOWN FROM THE P7 PORT IS NECESSARY.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE A PRESSURE SOURCE OTHER THAN LUNG POWER. A PRESSURE HIGHER THAN LUNG POWER CAN SUPPLY, CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO A GOOD SENSOR.
