(c) 2) If more than the limits, replace the sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401).Dirt build-up in air inlet or exit slots 1) If amount blocks free passage of air, clean with bristle brush and solution of water and mild detergent.

(3) Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
NOTE:____ It may be necessary to use padded-jaw pliers to loosen the electrical connector.

(4) Examine the electrical connector for the conditions that follow: (a) Thread damage 1) Repair the threads if less than 20 percent are damaged. 2) Replace the sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401) if more than 20 percent are damaged. (b) Pin damage 1) Make straight any bent pins. 2) Replace the sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401) if any pins are broken, eroded or seized. (c) Dirt build-up in connector well 1) Clean with a bristle brush and solvent.

(5) Do an insulation resistance check: (a) Measure the resistance between pin 1, pin 2, pin 4 and the receptacle body. (b) If the resistance is less than 10 megaohms, replace the sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401).

(6) Connect the electrical connector to the sensor. (a) Engage the connector with its mating interface. (b) Turn the knurled coupling ring with your hand while you move the back shell assembly. (c) Tighten the coupling ring with the padded-jaw pliers. (d) Make sure the connector is fully engaged.
NOTE:____ There must not be any movement of the connector.

(7) Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

CFMI WIRING HARNESS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. The CFMI wiring harness has two cable assemblies: the control parameter wiring harness and the N2 control alternator speed sensor cable.
NOTE: These two cables are installed on the engine by the engine
____ manufacturer and are blue in color. All wiring with a color of red and grey is installed by the airplane manufacturer.
B. The wiring harness for the control parameter is found between the MEC and the PMC, with more connections to the N1 speed sensor and the T12 temperature sensor, and is put below the engine fan case.
C. The speed sensor cable for the N2 control alternator is found between the N2 control alternator and the PMC and put on the top of the fan case.
