 8)  If the T12 sensor resistances are in the limits, replace the wiring harness for the control parameter (AMM 73-21-06/401).
 9)  If the T12 sensor resistances are not in the limits, replace the T12 temperature sensor (AMM 73-21-05/401).
 (f)  PMC Switch 1) Remove the P4 connector from the PMC. 2) Push the PMC On/Inop switch on the P5-68 engine module on
 the aft overhead panel in the flight compartment (Fig 506) to turn the PMC on. 3) Do a continuity check on the PCM switch cable between the pins P4-7 and P4-8. 4) If the circuit is continuous, do the procedure to do a test of the PMC warning light. 5) If the circuit is open, replace the PMC (AMM 73-21-04/401).

Install the removed electrical connectors.

Close the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

K. PMC Warning Light - Test Without the PMC Tester

 (1)  
Do the activate procedure for the airplane power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do these steps to do the test of the PMC without a PMC tester:

 (a)  
Push the PMC ON/INOP switch on the P5-68 engine module on the aft overhead panel in the flight compartment (Fig. 506).

 (b)  
Make sure the PMC INOP warning light on the P5-68 module comes on.

 (c)  
If the warning light does not come on, replace the P5-68 module (AMM 73-21-12/401).

 (d)  
If the warning light comes on, push the PMC ON/INOP switch to turn the PMC on. 1) Make sure the warning light goes off. If it does not,

 


 replace the P5-68 module (AMM 73-21-12/401).

 3. Engine Idle Control System - Adjustment/Test

 A. General
 (1)  
The system test for the engine idle control is given in two tests as follows:

 (a)  
The first test is done without the operation of the engine

 (b)  
The second test is done with the operation of the engine.

 

 (2)  
To fully do a system test of the engine idle control, you must do the two tests.

 (3)  
To do a check of the engine idle speed (AMM 71-00-00/501, Test No. 4).


 B. Equipment
 (1)  
Two function generators which make
 approximately 5V in a square or sine wave, and
 is adjustable from 50 Hz to 3000 Hz -Wavetek Model 171
