Open the left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Put the container below the differential pressure switch of the fuel filter.
(a) This will catch all fuel leakage from the fuel line.

Disconnect one end of the fuel inlet line between the fuel filter and the differntial pressure switch (Fig. 502).

Permit the fuel in the line to drain into the container.

Install a temporary plug or cap in the open line or port on the fuel filter housing.
NOTE:____This is to prevent fuel leakage. Fuel leakage from the open line can occur during this check if a cap is not installed.

Connect an air pressure source to a pressure gage or the test equipment, if used.

Connect the gage or test equipment to the fuel inlet pressure line of the differential pressure switch for the fuel filter.
NOTE: This is to pressurize the inlet (lower) side of the switch

(9) Set the equipment so that you can speak with the flight compartment.
(a) Slowly apply the air pressure to the switch.
