E. Procedure
S 644-008-C00
(1)
Lightly apply a layer of petrolatum on two new o-rings.
S 434-009-C00
(2)
Install the o-rings on the solenoid.
S 424-002-C00
(3)
ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 73-026;
Install the solenoid as follows:
(a)
Install the two short screws.
(b)
Tighten the screws to 13-16 pound-inches (1.5-1.8 Newton meters).
S 434-010-C00
(4) ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 73-026;
Install the solenoid as follows:
(a)
Put the solenoid in position on the MEC.
(b)
Install the two long screws.
(c)
Tighten the screws by hand.

Make sure that you install the clamp correctly.
(e)
Tighten the screws to 19-22 pound-inches
(2.2-2.5 Newton meters).

(5) Do an electrical resistance check for the solenoid as follows:
(a)
Do a check to see that the resistance across the pins of the solenoid is between 72 and 88 ohms.
(b)
Do a check to see that the insulation resistance between the pins and the solenoid body is 40 megaohms minimum.

(6) Connect the electrical connector D3012 to the solenoid.

Close the left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do an idle leak check (AMM 71-00-00/501).

Do a check on the solenoid for leaks.
