2) Loosen the coupling nut 1/2 turn.
 3) Tighten the coupling nut to 120-135 pound-inches
 (13.6-15.3 Newton meters).
 4) Loosen the coupling nut 1/2 turn.
 5) Tighten the coupling nut to 120-135 pound-inches
 (13.6-15.3 Newton meters).
 F. Leak Check of the Fuel Nozzles
 S 014-013-C00
 (1)  
Remove the fuel flow transmitter (AMM 73-31-01/401).

 (2)  
Drain the fuel manifold halves and fuel supply line between the engine core and fuel flow transmitter.

 (a)  
Put a container below the fuel nozzles of the engines.

 (b)  
Remove the coupling nut of the fuel nozzle at 6 o'clock position or coupling nuts at y-tube connections.

 (c)  
Remove the coupling nuts of the fuel nozzles at 12 o'clock position of each manifold half.

 (d)  
Let the fuel drain into the container.

Connect the coupling nuts at 6 and 12 o'clock.

 (4)  
Triple tighten the coupling nuts of the fuel supply line to the fuel nozzle as follows:

 (a)  
Tighten the coupling nuts of the fuel nozzles to 120-135 pound-inches (13.6-15.3 Newton meters).

 (b)  
Loosen the coupling nut 1/2 turn.

 (c)  
Tighten the coupling nut to 120-135 pound-inches (13.6-15.3 Newton meters).

 (d)  
Loosen the coupling nut 1/2 turn.

 (e)  
Tighten the coupling nut to 120-135 pound-inches (13.6-15.3 Newton meters).

(5)  S 434-027-C00Tighten the coupling nut at the y-tube connections to 180-200 pound-inches (20.3-22.6 Newton meters).
 (6)  S 844-020-C00Install the fuel manifold pressure check adapter on the fuel manifold line.
 (7)  S 844-019-C00Connect the dry air or nitrogen pressure supply to the adapter.
 (8)  S 794-021-C00Apply 80-100 psig (551-689 kPa gage) to the fuel manifold line to remove the remaining fuel. (a) Decrease the pressure to zero. (b) Apply leak-tek to the coupling nut at the fuel nozzle.
 WARNING:_______ DO NOT PRESSURIZE NEAR OPEN FLAME. REMAINING FUEL OR OIL WILL BECOME GAS WHEN FUEL MANIFOLD IS PRESSURIZED.
 (c)  Apply 15 psi (104 KPa) minimum dry air or nitrogen.
 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THE TIME WITH TEST PRESSURE BETWEEN 60 AND 200 PSIG IS KEPT TO A MINIMUM. THIS CAN PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE FUEL NOZZLE SECONDARY VALVES.
 (d)  Slowly increase the pressure (up to 60 psig (414 KPa gage)) until the pressure is stable (will not increase).
