Remove the sealant that is more than is necessary from the T2 sensor port in the inlet cowl.

Remove the cover from the sensing element.

Attach the element to the fan inlet duct with four bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 55-70 pound-inches (6-8 Newton meters).

Attach the capillary tube to the fan case brackets with 2 clamps.

Remove the caps from the P7 and the PB fuel tubes and the fittings on the sensor housing.

 CAUTION:_______USE TWO WRENCHES TO INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. USE ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE NIPPLE. USE THE OTHER WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE NUT. THIS IS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.
 (8)  Connect the P7 tube to the fitting on the sensor housing.
 (a)  Tighten the tube nut to 270-300 pound-inches
 (30.5-33.9 Newton meters).

On engines with PB tube P/N 335-208-801-0, tighten the tube nut to 280 pound-inches (32 Newton meters).

 (b)  
On engines with PB tube P/N 335-208-803-0, tighten the tube nut to 195-210 pound-inches (22-24 Newton meters).

 (10) Install Pro Seal 860 sealant around the element base in the inlet cowl.
 NOTE: This is to make sure of smooth air flow near the element.

T2 TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General
_______
 A.  You must do two checks to do an inspection of the T2 Temperature Sensor.
 (1)  
A visual check of the components that follow is given in task 2:

 -
the sensor housing

 -
the PB and P7 fittings

 -
the mounting flanges

 -
the capillary tube.

 

 (2)  
An internal failure check is given in task 3.


 B.  Removal of the sensor from the engine is not necessary for these
 inspections.

Cracks 1) If it is not serviceable, replace the sensor.
