c)  The test will continue until a failure occurs or you push the STOP switch.
 d)  If a failure occurred during the test, the red FAIL light will come on, and the message, FAIL, along with the test value will be shown on the display.
 e) To do the test again, push the STRT switch. f) To do a different test, push the STOP switch and put the new test number in the tester.
 (h) Do the NLR Schedule Test (Test 1) in the MANUAL mode.
 NOTE:____This test has 12 separate functional checks. Four checks are done at the ambient pressure, and eight checks are done at alternate pressures. These checks permit you to do a test of the system at different PLA, T12 and PS12 values, and to make sure that the NLR (fan speed) set by the PMC is in the specified limits.
 1)  Put the number 1 (for Test No. 1) in the tester and push the STRT key. a) After the test is completed at the ambient pressure,
 the message SET PRESS TO 4 PSIA will show on the display. 2) Connect the pressure controller to the PS12 sensor on the PMC (Fig. 504).
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH PRESSURE IN THE PS12 PORT. TOO MUCH PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PS12 SENSOR IN THE PMC.
 3)  Do these steps to apply the 4 psia pressure source: a) Put the switch on the pressure controller cylinder to
 the OPEN position. b) Turn the wheel fully in the clockwise (CW) direction. c) Put the switch in the CLOSED position. d) Turn the wheel in a counterclockwise (CCW) direction
 until a pressure of 4 PSIA is shown on the pressure
 gage.

4) The test No. 1 will continue when the 4 |0.10 psia pressure source is applied to the tester. 5) Continue the test with pressures of 6, 12 and 14 psia as necessary.
 (i)  Do the PMC Activate Switch Test (Test No. 21) in the MANUAL mode. 1) Use the data given from the tester to replace the PMC
 and/or related components as necessary (Fig. 505).

Remove the power to the PMC tester unit and disconnect the unit and
 the power supply for the PMC tester

 I. PMC and Related Components Tests (PMC Resistance Tester)
 NOTE: This procedure permits you to do troubleshooting of the PMC and
____
 the related components. To do this procedure, the inputs to the
 PMC are isolated.

 You cannot do all the checks that you can with the PMC tester. As an example, you cannot do a check of the PS12 transducer or the NLR schedule.
 If you follow this procedure to find out if the PMC should be replaced, make sure you check the related components. Make sure that all of the related components operate correctly.
