E. Procedure

Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do these steps to remove the wiring harness (Fig. 401):
(a) Disconnect the clamps between the MEC, the PMC, the N1 speed sensor and the T12 temperature sensor.
CAUTION: DO NOT LOOSEN THE LOCKWIRE CONNECTIONS OR THE HARNESS CAN
_______ BE DAMAGED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE HARNESS CAN OCCUR.
(b) Disconnect the T12 electrical connector from the T12 sensor.
NOTE: If it is necessary, use a pair of padded-jaw pliers to
____ loosen the electrical connectors.
(c)
Disconnect the N1 electrical connector from the N1 speed sensor.
(d)
Disconnect the J3 electrical connector on the PMC.
(e)
Disconnect the position connector for the power lever angle from the lower aft end of the MEC.
NOTE: Turn the position connector for the power lever angle to
____ 45 degrees to the horizontal.
(f)
Remove the wiring harness from the engine fan case.
(g)
Install the dust caps on all the open connectors.

A. General
(1) For this procedure the N2 control altenator speed sensor will be referred to as the speed sensor.

Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do these steps to remove the speed sensor cable (Fig. 402):
(a) Disconnect the clamps between the speed sensor and the PMC.
CAUTION: DO NOT LOOSEN THE LOCKWIRE CONNECTIONS OR THE WIRING
_______ HARNESS CAN BE DAMAGED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector from the electrical receptacle on the speed sensor found on the right (inboard) side of the speed sensor.
