(1) Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(a) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the control alternator housing.

Put caps on the alternator and cable connectors.

Remove the three bolts that attach the control alternator housing to the accessory gearbox pad.
NOTE: Oil traces found in the stator housing and around the
____ rotor is a permitted and usual condition.

(6) Remove the alternator housing from the gearbox pad.
NOTE: It is possible that the o-ring between the two will be
____ bonded. If the o-ring is bonded, it will be necessary to turn the housing while the sensor is removed.

Remove and discard the o-ring.

Remove the pad cover for N2 rotor rotation (AMM 72-00-00/201) from the gearbox.

Put a 3/4 inch square drive wrench into the 3/4 inch drive receptacle in the gearbox to lock the N2 drive.

Remove the nut that attaches the rotor to the gearshaft of the control alternator pad.
