WARNING: DO NOT PUT YOUR MOUTH DIRECTLY ON THE CIT SENSOR PORT WHEN
_______ YOU BLOW INTO IT. MAKE SURE THE FUEL DOES NOT GET INTO YOUR FACE OR ON YOUR CLOTHING. INJURIES TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE A PRESSURE SOURCE THAT IS HIGHER THAN YOUR LUNG
_______ PRESSURE. A HIGHER PRESSURE SOURCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO A GOOD SENSOR.
 (b)  Use the air from your lungs to blow air into the PB port of sensor. 1) Make sure the air does not come out from the P6 port

2)  Replace the sensor if you can feel the air come out from the P6 port.
 NOTE:____ Air flow through the sensor at ambient temperature is an indication of an internal failure. You must remove the CIT sensor for a bench inspection for this type of failure.
 (6)  S 436-015-C00Install the P6 and PB lines on the MEC.
 (7)  S 436-016-C00Tighten the fittings to 180 to 200 pound-inches (20-23 Newton meters).
 (8)  S 436-017-C00Connect the clamps between the P6 and PB lines to the bracket above and aft of the MEC.

G.  External Inspection of the CIT Sensor
 S 036-021-C00
 (1)  
If it is necessary, remove the CIT sensor (AMM 73-21-02/401).

 S 216-022-C00

 (2)  
Examine the housing for cracks (Fig. 601).


 (a)  Cracks on the housing are not permitted.

 (3)  
Examine the coil guard for cracks.

 (4)  
Examine the CIT sensor coil as follows:


 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SOLVENT IN THE AREA THAT HAS A GOOD
_______ FLOW OF AIR. DO NOT TO BREATH THE FUMES OR LET THE SOLVENT TOUCH YOUR CLOTHING OR YOUR SKIN. FOLLOW ALL PRECAUTIONS AGAINST FIRE.
 (a)  
If the coil is too dirty to examine, clean the sensor coil with the solvent and a soft bristle brush.

 (b)  
Make the coil dry with clean shop air.

 (c)  
Examine the coil for cracks.
 1) A coil with cracks is not permitted.


 (d)  
Examine the coil at 10 power magnification for nicks or dents.


 1)  A coil with nicks or dents that you can see at the 10X magnification or less is not permitted.

 (5)  
Examine the PB and P6 fittings for thread damage.

 (a)  
It is permitted to have one complete thread gone after all the damage is removed.

 (b)  
It is not permitted to have more than one turn of the threads that is gone.
