Remove the seal gasket from the mounting flange.
1) Examine the gasket for damage to the sealing surface.
2) Replace the gasket if it is damaged.

CAUTION:_______REPLACE THE SEAL GASKETS IF THEY ARE DAMAGED. USE OF THE SAME GASKET IS NOT RECOMMENDED. USE NEW O-RINGS WHEN YOU INSTALL THE FITTINGS IN THE MEC. DAMAGED SEAL GASKETS AND USED O-RINGS CAN CAUSE OIL AND/OR FUEL LEAKAGE.
USE TWO WRENCHES TO INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS, ONE TO HOLD THE FITTING AND ONE TO TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.
(1) If it is necessary, do the steps that follow to install the main oil/fuel heat exchanger on the fuel pump:
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and are not damaged.

WARNING: DO NOT GET METHYL ETHYL KETONE (MEK) IN YOUR MOUTH,
_______ OR EYES, OR ON YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM MEK. PUT ON A RESPIRATOR, PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLES, AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE MEK. KEEP MEK AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND HEAT. MEK IS A POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE SOLVENT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
1) If it is necessary, clean the surfaces with MEK and wipe it dry.
CAUTION: USE OF THE OLD MAIN OIL/FUEL HEAT EXCHANGER/FUEL PUMP
_______ GASKET IS NOT RECOMMENDED. POSSIBLE FUEL LEAKS CAN OCCUR.
(b) Install the gasket on the fuel pump as follows:
1) Examine and replace the seal gasket if it is damaged (AMM 70-30-01/201).
WARNING:_______DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOUR RESPIRATORY TRACT.
2) Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the gasket seal.
