Do the steps that follow to remove the idle reset solenoid
(Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the electrical connector D3016 from the solenoid.
(b)
Remove the 4 screws and washers which attach the solenoid to MEC.
(c)
Remove and discard the 3 O-rings.

(1) Do the steps that follows to install the idle reset solenoid (Fig. 401):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of petrolatum to the 3 new O-rings, and install in the MEC.
(b)
Put the solenoid on the MEC.
1) Install 4 screws and washers which attach the solenoid to the MEC. a) Tighten the screws to 13-16 pound-inches
(1.5-1.8 Newton meters).
(c) Connect the electrical connector D3016 to the solenoid.

Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
