Replace the D-bolts from the main fuel pump housing:
(a)
Remove and discard the retaining ring.
(b)
Remove and discard the damaged or defective D-bolt.
(c)
Install a new D-bolt on the main fuel pump housing.
(d)
Install a new retaining ring on the D-bolt.
(3)
Install the fuel filter cover (AMM 73-11-02/401).

SERVO FUEL HEATER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
A. This procedure gives the steps to remove and install the servo fuel heater.

2. Remove the Servo Fuel Heater

A. General
(1) The servo fuel heater can be removed with the main oil/fuel heater (AMM 79-21-02/401).
B. Equipment
(1) Container - 5-gallon (20-liter) capacity,
suitable for fuel and oil, local purchase
C. Consumable Materials
(1)
Grease - Graphite (CP2101) (AMM 70-10-01/201)
(2)
Oil - Engine, MIL-L-23699 (AMM 70-10-01/201)

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do the steps that follow to prepare for the removal of the servo fuel heater:
(a)
Make sure this circuit breaker is closed:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE
(b)
Make sure the applicable start lever is in the CUTOFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag:

(3)
Remove the electrical power.
(a) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(4)
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING:_______ DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN
AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE
ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOUR
RESPIRATORY TRACT.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUID GET INTO THE ENGINE OIL.
VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THIS FLUID CAN CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL.
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(5) Do these steps to remove the servo fuel heater:
(a) Put the container below the fuel pump/MEC package.
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU REMOVE THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS.
_______ USE ONE TO HOLD THE NIPPLE, AND THE OTHER TO LOOSEN THE NUT. DAMAGE TO THE FITTING CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES.
(b)
Disconnect the lines from the servo fuel heater (Fig. 401).
(c)
Remove the fuel supply line between the fuel pump and the FUEL IN port on the cover of the servo fuel heater.
(d)
Disconnect the floating clamps between the oil-in line and the upper overboard drain for the MEC.
