FUEL FLOW/FUEL USED INDICATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. The fuel flow/fuel used indicators are found on the pilots' center instrument panel.

2. Remove the Fuel Flow/Fuel Used Indicator

(1) Location Zone
101 Control Cabin - Left
B. Procedure (Fig. 401)

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6-3 Load Control Center
1) For the left engine:
a) FUEL SYSTEMS FUEL IND ENG 1
2) For the right engine: a) FUEL SYSTEMS FUEL IND ENG 2

Loosen the circular head screw near the 10 o'clock position of the indicator to be removed.

Pull the indicator aft to be clear of the panel.

CAUTION: CROSS CONNECTION OF THE INDICATOR (ON THE P5 OVERHEAD PANEL) IS
_______ A POSSIBILITY WHEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPONENT. CLEARLY IDENTIFY CONNECTIONS BEFORE DISCONNECTING.
(4) Remove the electrical connector.

C. Procedure (Fig. 401)

(1) Remove the electrical power.
(a) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

CAUTION: CROSS CONNECTION OF THE INDICATOR (ON THE P5 OVERHEAD PANEL) IS
_______ A POSSIBILITY WHEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPONENT. POSITIVELY IDENTIFY CONNECTIONS BEFORE CONNECTING AND FUNCTION CHECK UPON COMPLETION OF CONNECTION.
(2)
Install the electrical connector.

Put the indicator into the panel.
(a) Tighten the circular head screw in the panel to lock it into position.

(4) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6-3 Load Control Center
1) For the left engine:
a) FUEL SYSTEMS FUEL IND ENG 1
2) For the right engine: a) FUEL SYSTEMS FUEL IND ENG 2

(5) Start the applicable engine, let it become stable, and set it at idle power (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(a) Make sure the fuel flow indication operates correctly during the next engine operation.
