 (11) If the calculated voltage differential is not between these limits:
 (a)  
Test the PMC and related components to examine the PLA RVDT in the MEC and the harness connections. Use one of these procedures: 1) Test the PMC and related components with the PMC Tester Kit 2) Test the PMC and related components with the new PMC

 Resistance Tester 3) Test the PMC and related components with the alternate procedure with power cables and digital voltmeter

 (b)  
If the PLA RVDT check fails, replace the MEC.
 (AMM 73-21-01/401).

 H. PMC and Related Components Tests (PMC Tester) (Recommended Method)
 NOTE: If you do not have a PMC Tester, do the test of the PMC and the
____ related components with the power cable and a digital voltmeter.

 (1) Do these steps to prepare for the PMC and related components tests:
 (a)  
Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (b)  
Make sure the POWER ON switch on the PMC tester unit and the power supply for the PMC tester are in the OFF position.

 (c)  
Connect the PMC tester unit and the power supply to the PMC (Figure 504). 1) Connect the cables between the PMC tester and the


 N2 alternator, the engine sensors, and the plug D3010.
 NOTE: Make sure all the connections to the PMC testor, its
____ power supply, all pressure, temperature, speed and MEC connections are installed tight. Loose connections can give results that are not accurate.
 (d)  
Put the correct PMC model code in the PMC tester. 1) Use the numeric keypad.

 (e)  
Set the ENGLISH/METRIC switch to the applicable mode.
