C. Remove the PMC

Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Do the steps that follow to remove the PMC (Fig. 401):
(a)
Disconnect the PS12 line from the connector on top of the PMC.
(b)
Disconnect the control alternator (dark blue) cable, N2 from the connector J2 on the bottom of the PMC.
(c)
Disconnect the signal input cable from the connector J3 on the bottom of the PMC.
(d)
Disconnect the signal cable for the flight compartment from the connector J4 on the bottom of the PMC.
(e)
Disconnect the monitor signal cable from the connector J5 on the bottom of the PMC, if you do use this cable.
(f)
Remove the bolt and nut that attaches the grounding strap to the aft mounting flange for the PMC.
(g)
Remove 4 mounting bolts from the PMC and remove the PMC.
NOTE: Hold PMC as bolt aree removed to prevent it from falling
____ from mounting brackets.
(h) Install the protective caps on the connectors.

(1) Do the steps that follow to install the PMC (Fig. 401):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the threads and pressure faces of the 4 mounting bolts.
(b)
Put the PMC on the mounting bracket.
NOTE: Make sure that the 4 connectors side is facing down.

(c)
Install the mounting bolts which attach the PMC to the bracket.
1) Tighten the mounting bolts to 100-110 pound-inches (11-13 Newton meters).
(d)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the threads and pressure face of bolt.
(e)
Install the bolt and nut which attaches the grounding strap to the PMC aft flange. 1) Tighten the bolt to 100-110 pound-inches
(11-13 Newton meters).
(f)
Connect the P12 sensing line to the connector on top of the PMC. 1) Tighten the connector to 65-75 pound-inches
(7.5-8.5 Newton meters), and lockwire.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PIN POSITIONS ON CONECTORS ARE CORRECT

WITH MATING RECEPTACLE.
