8. Boeing Wiring Cables

A. Boeing wiring cables which transmits the fuel system related connections have two wire bundle assemblies (Fig. 6), the W1504 and the W1506 wire bundles. The two wire bundles connect to the strut at the top right fan case and go around the fan case in a clockwise direction.

For the W1504 wire bundle, the fuel related connections are the fuel flow transmitter and the PMC.
(2)
For the W1506 wire bundle, the fuel related connections are the N1 speed transmitter, the minimum idle unit for the engine fuel control, the fuel filter bypass switch and the TLA position.
B. The two wire bundles are colored white, grey or red.
9. Fuel Control Box (Fig. 1)

A. The fuel control box is on the MEC and gives the connections between the MEC fuel shut-off and power levers and the airplane engine control systems.
10. N2 Control Alternator Speed Sensor (Fig. 5)

A. The N2 control alternator speed sensor located at the top and forward side of the accessory gearbox (AGB) is used to supply power to the PMC and provide N2 speed information to the N2 tachometer in the flight compartment.
11. Engine Idle Control System
__________________________
A. The engine idle control system is an automatic system which uses the ground sensing relay to maintain engine high idle in flight and low idle when the airplane is on the ground.
B. The idle reset solenoid is on the inboard side of the main engine control (MEC). The solenoid is energized for low idle and de-energized for high idle.
