Slowly decrease the N1 indication for the No. 2 engine to 15|5% N1. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on at or before 24% N1.
(z)
Release the switch on the AIR SENSING relay.
1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out.

(3) Do these steps to put the airplane back to its usual condition:
(a)
Disconnect the function generators and the test box.
(b)
Connect the electrical connectors D546 to the N1 speed sensors.
(c)
Close the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).
(d)
Put the start levers for the two engines to the CUTOFF position.
(e)
Move the forward thrust levers for the two engines to the idle stop.
F. AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE INDICATION CIRCUIT FOR THE 45% N1 ENGINE IDLE; Engine Idle Control System Test (With Engine Operation)

(1) Do these steps to prepare for the test:
(a)
Make sure this circuit breaker is closed:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) ENGINE IDLE CONTROL
(b)
Start the two engines and let them operate at idle for a minimum of 2 minutes (AMM 71-00-00/201).

(2) Do these steps to do the test:
(a) Push and hold the switch for the GROUND SENSING relay on the E11 logic shelf for the landing gear.
NOTE: This shelf is found on the right side of the radar
____ bay forward of the nose wheel well.
1) Make sure the idle for the two engines increases to the high idle position.
(b) Release the switch for the GROUND SENSING relay.
1) Make sure the idle of the two engines decreases to the low idle position after approximately 4 seconds.

(3) Shut down the two engines (AMM 71-00-00/201).

(1) Do these steps to prepare for the test:
(a)
Connect the test set for the radio altimeter to the Nos. 1 and 2 LRRA receiver/transmitters in the electronic equipment bay.
(b)
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
1) P18 Panel
a) RADIO ALTIMETER NO. 1
2) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
a) RADIO ALTIMETER NO. 2
b) ENGINE IDLE CONTROL
c) ENGINE IDLE INDICATION
(c)
Start the two engines and let them operate at idle for a minimum of 2 minutes (AMM 71-00-00/201).
