POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL PANEL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  The power management control (PMC) panel is found on the P5-68 engine module. The P5-68 engine module is found on the aft overhead panel of the flight compartment. The PMC panel is attached by four fasteners. Access to the electrical connectors is on the rear of the PMC panel. You must remove the PMC panel from the overhead panel to get access.

 (1)  Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 (a)  Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

 (2)  Remove the PMC panel from the aft overhead panel.

 CAUTION: CROSS CONNECTION OF THE PMC PANEL (ON THE P5 OVERHEAD PANEL) IS
_______ A POSSIBILITY WHEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPONENT. CLEARLY IDENTIFY CONNECTIONS BEFORE DISCONNECTING.
 (3)  Disconnect the electrical connectors.

 CAUTION: CROSS CONNECTION OF THE PMC PANEL (ON THE P5 OVERHEAD PANEL) IS
_______ A POSSIBILITY WHEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPONENT. POSITIVELY IDENTIFY CONNECTIONS BEFORE CONNECTING AND FUNCTION CHECK UPON COMPLETION OF CONNECTION.
 (1)  
Connect the electrical connectors to the control panel.

 (2)  
Install the PMC panel in the aft overhead panel.

 NOTE: Attach the panel with fasteners (four locations).

 (a)  P6-2 Load Control Center
 1) ENGINES MASTER CAUTION

 (4)  Put the PMC ON/INOP switch on the control panel in the off position.
 (a)  Make sure that the PMC INOP warning light is on.

 (5)  Move the PMC ON/INOP switch to the ON position.
 (a)  Make sure that the PMC INOP warning light goes off.

Move the PMC ON/INOP switch to the off position.

Do the Master Caution Dim Test for the Reverser (AMM 33-15-00/501).

Do the Master Caution Dim Test for the Low Idle lights (AMM 33-15-00/501).
