(5)  S 726-005-C00Do an operational test of the alternator stator to make sure it operates correctly (AMM 77-12-00/501).
 NOTE:____ If a failure of the J2 connector has occurred, a PMC INOP light will not come on in the control cabin.
 (6)  S 416-007-C00Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

T2 TEMPERATURE SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  The T2 temperature sensor is found on the left side of the fan case at
 the 10:30 o'clock position.

 2.  Remove the T2 Temperature Sensor________________________________
 A.  Equipment
 (1)  Container - 1 gallon (4 liter) capacity, for fuel

 506 Engine No. 1 - 10:30 o'clock position

 D.  Procedure
 S 014-002-C00
 (1)  
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 S 024-003-C00

 (2)  
Remove the sensor element (Fig. 401).

 (a)  
Cut the sealant around the inside inlet cowl of the sensor element base.

 (b)  
Remove the sensing element from the fan inlet duct.

 


 NOTE: To do this, remove the four bolts and washers.

 (c)  
Cover the sensor element inlet and exit holes with a protective cover.

 (d)  
Disconnect the capillary tube from the two clamps on the fan case brackets.

 (3)  Remove the housing.
 (a)  
Put a funnel below the fuel line connections on the housing. Do this to cause fuel that is released to flow into the container.

 CAUTION:_______USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE THE COUPLING NUTS. USE ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE NIPPLE. USE THE OTHER WRENCH TO LOOSEN THE NUT. THIS IS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.

 (b)  
Disconnect the P7 and the PB fuel tubes.

 (c)  
Put caps on the open fuel tubes and the fittings.
