WARNING:_______DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOUR RESPIRATORY TRACT.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUID GET INTO THE ENGINE OIL.
_______ VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THIS FLUID CAN CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Do the steps that follow to install the servo fuel heater:
CAUTION: EXAMINE THE USED GASKETS FOR DAMAGE BEFORE YOU USE THEM
_______ AGAIN. REPLACE THE GASKETS AS NECESSARY.
(a)
Make sure all removed gaskets are in good condition (AMM 70-30-01/201). 1) If it is necessary, replace the gaskets.
(b)
Remove the protective plugs and caps.
(c)
Install the fuel heater on the oil/fuel heat exchanger (Fig. 401). 1) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and in good
condition. 2) Lubricate the gasket with engine oil. a) Install the gasket on the mating surfaces of the
oil/fuel heat exchanger. 3) Apply a thin layer of grease to the mounting studs. 4) Attach the servo fuel heater to the oil/fuel heat
exchanger.

5) Install the 6 washers and nuts that attach the servo fuel heater to the oil/fuel heat exchanger. a) Tighten the nuts to 95-105 pound-inches
(10.7-11.9 Newton meters).
(d) Connect the fuel discharge line to the servo fuel heater. 1) Make sure that the coupling nuts and nipples are clean. a) Lubricate the nipple threads with engine oil.
2) Connect the fuel dischange line to the FUEL OUT port on the cover of the servo fuel heater.
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING
_______ NUTS. USE ONE TO HOLD THE NIPPLE, AND THE OTHER TO TIGHTEN THE NUT. DAMAGE TO THE FITTING CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES.
3) Tighten the coupling nuts to 650-770 pound-inches
(74-87 Newton meters).
(e) Connect the oil return line from the oil tank to the servo fuel heater. 1) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and in good
condition. 2) Lubricate the gasket with a thin layer of engine oil. a) Install the gasket on the OIL OUT flange to the servo fuel heater. 3) Install the return line on the OIL OUT port for the housing
of the servo fuel heater. 4) Apply a thin layer of grease to the 4 bolts. 5) Install the bolts which attach the oil return line to the
servo fuel heater.
a) Tighten the bolts to 55-60 pound-inches
(6.2-6.8 Newton meters).
(f) Connect the oil-in line between the servo fuel heater and the scavenge filter for the main oil system. 1) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and in good
condition. 2) Lubricate the gasket with a thin layer of engine oi. a) Install the gasket on the OIL IN flange on the servo fuel heater. 3) Install the oil-in line to the OIL IN port on the housing of the servo fuel heater.
4) Apply a thin layer of grease to the threads of the 4 bolts that attach the oil-in line to the servo fuel heater. a) Install the bolts, and tighten them to
55-60 pound-inches (6.2-6.8 Newton meters).
5) Tighten the bolts that attach the oil-in line to the
