Remove the shorting plug from the system test plug on the P18 panel.

Use the adapter cable to connect the portable tester to the system test plug on the P18 panel.

Set the switches on the portable tester to these positions:

(5) Supply power to the aileron control system (AMM 27-11-00/201).
E. Position Sensor Test

(1)
Make sure the TEST--NORMAL switch for the flight data recorder is in the TEST position.
(2)
Make sure the aileron is at zero unit of trim.

Do these steps for the left aileron position sensor:
(a)
BEJ 113; Set the portable tester to subframe 2, word 44.
(b)
BEJ 101-112; Set the portable tester to subframe 0, word 12. 1) Make sure the portable tester shows 0000.
(c)
If the display do not show 0000, do these steps: 1) Turn off hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 27-11-00/201).

2) Open the access panel to get access to the left aileron
sensor. 3) Turn off the system A and B hydraulic. 4) Loosen the two sensor clamp screws. 5) Turn the sensor until the mark on the shaft aligns with the
mark on the sensor.
NOTE: No special position of the aligned marks is
____
necessary.
6) Turn the sensor to get a display of 0000. 7) Tighten the clamp screws to 30-35 pound-inches.

Supply power to hydraulic system A and B (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(e)
Put the aileron in the positions shown in the table.
(f)
At each position, make sure the portable tester display agrees

(4) Do these steps for the right aileron position sensor:
(a)
BEJ 113;
Set the portable tester to subframe 1, word 44.
(b)
BEJ 101-112;
Set the portable tester to subframe 0, word 44.
1) Make sure the tester display 0000.
(c)
If the tester display do not show 0000, do these steps: 1) Turn off hydraulic systems A and B, (AMM 27-11-00/201). 2) Open the access panel to get access to the right aileron
sensor.
3) Loosen the two sensor clamp screws.
