Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

Do this test of the position signals from the rudder pedals:
(a)
Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 49.
(b)
Use the rudder pedal crank to move the captain's rudder pedal to the zero position.
(c)
Install a rig pin in the captain's rudder pedal.
(d)
Make sure the portable tester display is 7764 to 0013 (nominal 0000).
(e)
Remove the rig pin from the captain's rudder pedal.
(f)
Move the rudder pedals smoothly to the positions shown in the table.
(g)
Make sure the portable tester display agrees with the values in the table.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Set the rudder to the applicable condition.
(c)
Make sure the portable tester displays agree with the values in the table.
