(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open:
(a) P18 Panel
1) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
2) FLIGHT RECORDER DC

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE_______
FDAU. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE
CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FDAU.
(2) Install the FDAU (AMM 20-10-07/201).

(3) Close these circuit breakers:
(a) P18 Panel
1) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
2) FLIGHT RECORDER DC

(4) Do the BITE test part of the Operation Test - Flight Data Recorder

C. Remove the Aileron Position Transmitter

Do this task: "Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B Depressurization" (Ref 27-11-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P18-2 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) POSITION INDICATOR AND TRANSMITTER
(3)
Open the access panel on the lower wing surface (Ref 12-31-61/201).

Remove the aileron position transmitter:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the aileron position transmitter.
(b)
Loosen the screws on the support bracket and crank.
(c)
Remove the aileron position transmitter from the airplane.
