3. System Test - Flight Data Recorder System_________________________________________
A. General
(1)
The system test has procedures to do tests of all the inputs to the flight data recorder system. You can do the tests out of sequence. You can do each test independently.
(2)
To do the system test, much time can be necessary. A different procedure, which makes sure the system writes the parameters correctly, is the copy recorder procedure (AMM 31-24-00/201).
(3)
The tests in this procedure are written to the BOEING standard application software. If customized software is installed part of the test may not look the same. Installation of the BOEING application software may be necessary.
(4)
These tasks use the word SUBFRAME 0 to make a selection of a parameter which is on all four subframes. Some portable testers do not have a switch position for SUBFRAME 0. On these test sets, make a selection of subframes 1 thru 4 when the task uses SUBFRAME 0.

NOTE: The tester cable consists of a cable assembly that is
____ approximately 60 inches long with a connector and a dust cap on each end. Use the -1 cable with Teledyne testers 2222786, 2227295, or 2225302. Use the -30 cable (on airplanes with FDEP) or -49 cable (on airplanes without FDEP) when using the Sundstrand tester 981-6301-002.
