 EIS PRIMARY DISPLAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the EIS Primary Display. The second task is the installation of the EIS Primary Display, this includes a subtask for the EIS BITE test.
 B.  The EIS Primary Display is installed on the pilots' center instrument panel (P2-2). Electrical cables are connected to the rear of the unit.

 2.  EIS Primary Display Removal___________________________
 A.  Access
 (1)  Location Zone
 101/102, Control Cabin

 B.  Procedure

 (1) Open these circuit breakers on the P6-2 panel:
 (a)
EIS PRIMARY 1

 (b)
EIS PRIMARY 2

 (c)
EIS PRIMARY 3

 (d)
EIS PRIMARY 4


 S 024-022
 CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONNECTORS ON THE
_______ CLOCK. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CLOCK.
 WHEN YOU REMOVE THE DISPLAY UNIT, BE VERY CAREFUL TO PREVENT SCRATCHES OR CRACKS TO THE UNIT GLASS SURFACE. BECAUSE THE UNIT GLASS FRONT IS TIGHTLY BONDED, IT IS NOT EASY TO REPLACE.
 (2) Remove the EIS Primary Display:
 (a)
Loosen four mounting clamp screws.

 (b)
Carefully remove the display unit out of the P2 panel.

 (c)
Disconnect four electrical cables at the rear of the unit.
