Procedure
 S 434-005
 (1)  
Put the switch actuator on the switch.

 S 424-006

 (2)  
Install the switch:

 (a)  
Put the switch in its position on the support.

 (b)  
Put the attachment bolts in their position and tighten.

 


 S 864-008
 (3)  
Move the applicable thrust lever to the idle position.

 S 484-009

 (4)  
Put a protractor with an adapter on the thrust lever.

 S 864-010

 (5)  
Set the protractor to 0 degrees.

 (6)  
Move the thrust lever a minimum of 35 degrees forward from the idle position.

 (7)  
Adjust the switch (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Connect an ohmmeter across connectors 1C and 1NC or 2C and 2NC of the switch. 1) Make sure there is an open circuit between the connectors

 (no continuity through the switch).

 (b)  
Move the thrust lever aft until the switch operates (continuity through switch). 1) Make sure the thrust lever is less than 11 degrees forward

 of the idle position.

 (c)  
Put the thrust lever at the idle position, then move it forward until the switch opens (no continuity through the switch). 1) Make sure the switch opens when the thrust lever is between

 


 8.5 and 10.5 degrees forward of the idle position.

 (d)  Adjust the position of the switch in the switch attachment slots if the switch does not operate correctly.
 NOTE: The switch actuator on the roller lever has a small tab
____ for fine adjustment. Bend the tab down for switch operation at smaller thrust lever positions. Bend the tab up for switch operation at greater thrust lever positions.

Remove the ohmmeter.

Connect the electrical wires to the switch.

 Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:


 (a)  P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) LANDING GEAR LIGHTS
 2) ANTI-SKID FAIL WARN & PARK BRAKE

 (11) Do this task:  "Thrust Lever/Landing Gear Warning Test" (Ref 31-26-00/501).
