 C. Prepare To Retrive/Erase Engine Exceedances
 S 862-015
 (1)  Make sure these EIS circuit breakers are closed:
 (a)  P6-2 Load Control Center - Right
 1) EIS PRIMARY 1
 2) EIS PRIMARY 2
 3) EIS PRIMARY 3
 4) EIS PRIMARY 4

 (2)
Supply electrical power, if it is necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (3)
Remove the protective cover from the EIS test connector (D10146).


 NOTE: The EIS test connector (D10146) is located on a stanchion of
____
 E2 rack, in the E/E compartment.

 S 482-018
 (4)  Connect the ARINC 429 bus reader to pins 1 (hi) and 2 (lo) of the EIS test connector, D10146.
 D. Retrieve Engine Exceedances
 S 972-023
 (1)  Apply a ground to pin 3 of the EIS test connector, D10146.
 NOTE: Approximately 20 seconds after the ground is applied to
____ pin 3, the data is available at pins 1 and 2 of D10146. The output format of all exceedance/abnormal start condition data is given in Table A.
 E. Erase Engine Exceedances
 S 072-024
 CAUTION: YOU MUST RETRIEVE THE EXCEEDANCE DATA FIRST BEFORE YOU CLEAR

 THE EXCEEDANCE DATA.

 (1)  Apply a ground to pin 4 of the EIS test connector, D10146.
 NOTE: This will reset the exceedance memory in the EIS Primary

 Display to zero.

Remove the ARINC 429 bus reader from EIS test connector.

Install the protective cover on the EIS test connector (D10146). S 862-012

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
