 (1) These switches in the main equipment center are part of the
autothrottle switch pack assemblies, M1639 and M1640.Flap Operated Landing Gear Warning Switch - The flap operated landing gear warning and flap up limit switches sound the warning horn if the flaps are in the landing position and all gears are not down and locked (Fig. 1). The switches are cylindrical-shaped, plunger-type microswitches, and are mounted on the outboard flap drive follow-up drum support. The flap drive follow-up drum is located at the top of the aft bulkhead in the right wheel well. Rotation of the follow-up drum turns a cam which raises the plunger to operate the switch.

 G.  Flap Takeoff Warning Switch - The flap takeoff warning switch has dual sets of contacts, one set is used in the landing warning system, the other is the takeoff warning system. The switch is installed on the flap control valve follow-up mechanism (Fig. 1) and is actuated when the flaps are not in the takeoff range.
 H.  Warning Horn Reset Switch - The warning horn reset (HORN CUTOUT) switch is located on the control stand. The reset switch may be used at the crew's discretion to silence the thrust lever operated landing gear warning horn by energizing circuits in the landing gear electrical module. The circuit is reset automatically when a thrust lever is advanced (Fig. 1).
 4.  Takeoff Warning System______________________
 A.  The takeoff warning system warns the pilot if L.E. or T.E. flaps, stabilizer, and speedbrake handle are not in their respective takeoff position prior to takeoff. If either thrust lever is advanced to the takeoff thrust range, an intermittent warning horn in the control cabin will sound if either the L.E. or T.E. flaps or stabilizer are not in the takeoff range or the speedbrake handle is not stowed. The horn can only be silenced by correcting the configuration or retarding the thrust lever.
 B.  If parking brake warning logic is installed an intermittent warning horn will sound when either thrust lever is advanced to takeoff range and the parking brake is not released.
 C.  The flight controls warning switches are parallel-wired. In series with these switches are an air/ground sensing circuit. The air/ground safety sensor deactivates the takeoff warning circuit when the airplane is airborne (weight off the landing gear). The air/ground sensing and control circuits are in the landing gear logic unit module (Ref Chapter 32, Landing Gear Position Indicating System).
 D.  Flap Takeoff Warning Switch - The flap takeoff warning switch is installed on the flap control valve follow-up mechanism (Fig. 1). It is actuated by a cam on the control valve follow-up drum shaft when the flaps are outside the takeoff range. Leading edge flap warn relays are installed on the E3-2 electrical shelf. One relay is used with leading edge flap No. 1 and the other relay is used with leading edge flap No. 4. The relays are controlled by circuits in the leading edge flaps and slats position indication module (Ref Chapter 27) located on the E3-2 shelf. The relays are de-energized when the leading edge flaps are outside the takeoff range as controlled by proximity switches in the leading edge flap assemblies.
 E.  Stabilizer Takeoff Warning Switches - The two stabilizer takeoff warning switches are installed in the stabilizer actuator compartment and are actuated by cams on the stabilizer center section leading edge structure (Fig. 1). The upper switch actuates when the stabilizer is outside the takeoff (green band) range in the leading edge up (APL NOSE DN) direction. The lower switch actuates when the stabilizer is outside the takeoff (green band) range in the leading edge down (APL NOSE UP) direction.

 F.  Speed Brake Takeoff Warning Switch - The speed brake takeoff warning switch is installed on the upper forward portion of the control stand. The switch is actuated when the speed brake control lever is lifted out of the down and locked detent.
