 (21) Move the thrust lever No. 2 forward.
 (a)  
Make sure the continuous horn stops when the thrust lever is more than 8.5 degrees forward of the idle position.

 (b)  
Make sure the red light for the nose gear goes off.

Make sure you hear the continuous horn.

Make sure the red light for the nose gear comes on.

 (24) Do the steps that follow to put the nose gear back to an extended condition.

Put the landing gear lever in the down position.

 red light for the nose gear is off.

 (25) Move thrust lever No. 1 to a position less than 33 degrees but more than 8.5 degrees from the idle position.

 Put both of the thrust levers back to a position of more than 33 degrees from the idle position.

 Put the right main gear in a simulated retracted position as follows:

 (a)  
Put the landing gear lever in the off position.

 1)  Make sure all the red gear lights come on and all the green gear lights stay on.

 (b)  
Put an aluminum or copper deactuator shield between the right main gear downlock sensor S73 and the steel actuator arm. 1) Make sure the right main gear green light goes off. 2) Make sure the right main gear red light stays on..

 (c)  
Put a steel actuator bar above the uplock sensor switch of the right main gear (S74). 1) The switch is found adjacent to the right main gear uplock

 


 hook. 2) Make sure the red light for the right main gear on the P2 panel goes off.

 (28) Do the Thrust Lever/Landing Gear Warning Test again, but do a check of the light indications and horn condition for the right main gear.
 NOTE: Do not do the steps to simulate the nose gear retracted.

 (29) Do these steps to put the right main gear back to an extended condition.
 (a)  
Put the landing gear lever in the DOWN position.

 (b)  
Remove the steel deactuator bar from the uplock sensor switch of the right main gear (S74).

 (c)  Remove the aluminum or copper deactuator shield from the gear downlock sensor of the right main gear (S73). 1) Make sure the right main gear red light on the P2 panel
 goes off and the green light comes on.

 (30) Move thrust lever No. 1 to a position of less than 33 degrees but more than 8.5 degrees from the idle position.
 (a)  Make sure you do not hear the continuous horn.

 Put both of the thrust levers back to a position of more than 33 degrees forward of the idle position.

 Put the left main gear in the simulated retracted position as follows:

 (a)  
Put the landing gear lever in the OFF position. 1) Make sure all the red and green gear lights come on.

 (b)  
Put an aluminum or copper deactuator shield between the downlock sensor switch (S71) of the left main gear and the steel actuator arm.
