Put the TEST--NORMAL switch in the NORMAL position.
(2)
Put the POWER switch on the portable tester to the OFF position.
(3)
Disconnect the portable tester from the flight recorder system.

FLIGHT DATA RECORDER SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has many tasks. The first task is the operational test of the flight data recorder system. The second task is the airplane configuration test. The third task is the system test of the flight data recorder system. The system test task refers to other tasks which tests the inputs to the flight data recorder system.
B. These primary components make up the flight data recorder system:

Flight Data Recorder
(2)
Accelerometer
(3)
Flight Data Acquisition Unit (FDAU)
(4)
Flight Data Acquisition Unit (FDAU), also refered to as the Flight Data Management Unit (FDMU).
(5)
Flight Recorder and Mach Airspeed Warning Test Module (test module)

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(2)
Make sure the engines are off.

(3)
Do this test of the activation by the TEST--NORMAL switch:
(a)
Make sure the NORMAL/TEST switch on the P5 panel is in the NORMAL position.
(b)
Push one of the MASTER CAUTION lights.
(c)
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION and OVERHEAD MASTER CAUTION ANNUNCIATOR lights go out.
(d)
Make sure the flight recorder OFF light stays on.
(e)
Put the TEST--NORMAL switch on the test module to the TEST position. 1) Make sure the OFF light goes out.

Put the TEST--NORMAL switch to the NORMAL position.
1) Make sure the OFF light, the two MASTER CAUTION lights and the OVERHEAD MASTER CAUTION ANNUNCIATOR lights are on.
(g)
Push one of the Master Caution lights.

(4) Do this test of the activation by the oil pressure switch:
(a)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P18 Panel
a) FLIGHT RECORDER DC
(b)
Put a jumper between pins 1 and 2 of plug D752 for the oil pressure switch on engine No. 1.
(c)
Close this circuit breaker:
1) P18-2 Panel
a) FLIGHT RECORDER DC
(d)
Make sure the OFF light and the OVERHEAD MASTER CAUTION ANNUNCIATOR lights are off.
(e)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P18-2 Panel
a) FLIGHT RECORDER DC
(f)
Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2 of plug D752.
(g)
Close this circuit breaker:
