Install the sensor in the bracket with the shaft down.

Apply a thin layer of corrosion preventive compound on the internal and external surfaces of the threads on the clamp screws.

Install sensor clamp screws and tighten them to 30 to 35 pound-inches.

Install the pulley drum on the bottom of the sensor shaft.

Install the bolt and nut with a washer below the bolt head and a washer below the nut.

Install the cables.
(a)
Install cable C between the top part of the jackshaft quadrant and the top spool on the pulley drum.
(b)
Use the cotter pins to attach the ends of the cable terminals (Fig. 402).

(c) Attach the ball terminal end of cable A to the lower part of
the quadrant.
(d) Attach the ball terminal end of cable B to the lower spool on
the pulley drum.
(e) Install the spring between the loose ends of cables A and B.
(f) Loosen the bolts on the sensor support brackets and align the
cables if it is necessary.
NOTE:____ Lift or lower the bracket in the slots to align the
cables.
(g) Lubricate the cables with grease for the full length of travel
on the drum and the quadrant.
