Do this test of the signals from the EFIS transfer switch.
(a)
Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 2, WORD 21.
(b)
Make sure the EFIS switch is in the NORM position.
(c)
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is off.
(d)
Set the EFIS transfer switch to the BOTH-ON-2 position.
(e)
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is on.
(f)
Put the EFIS transfer switch to the NORM position.

(3) Do this test of the fire signals from the wheel well: (a) Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 27. (b) Set and hold the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE switch in the OVHT/FIRE position. (c) Make sure the wheel well light is on. (d) Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is on. (e) Release the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE switch. (f) Make sure the wheel well light is off. (g) Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is off.

(6) Do this test of the fire signals from the APU: (a) Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 35. (b) Set and hold the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE switch in the OVHT/FIRE position. (c) Make sure the APU fire light is on. (d) Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is on.
NOTE:____ The APU fire light flashes. The BIT 2 light on the portable tester will only be on when the APU fire light is on.
(e) (f) (g) Release the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE switch.Make sure the APU fire light goes out.Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is off.
