Install the flight data recorder (Ref 31-24-11/401).

Make sure the OFF light on the test module is off.

Put the TEST--NORMAL switch in the NORMAL position.

4. System Test - Flight Recorder System
____________________________________
A. General
(1)
The system test has procedures to do tests of all the inputs to the flight data recorder system. You can do the tests out of sequence. You can do each test independently.
(2)
The tests in this procedure are written to the standard BOEING application software. If customized software is installed, part of the test may not look the same. Installation of the BOEING application software may be necessary.
(3)
These tasks use the word SUBFRAME 0 to make a selection of a parameter which is on all four subframes. Some portable testers do not have a switch position for subframe 0. On these test sets, make a selection of subframes 1 thru 4 when the task uses subframe 0.
