Before you adjust the switch, the flap system must be correctly adjusted (Ref 27-51-00/501).

During the test it will be necessary to retract the right main gear. You can put the airplane on jacks or put the airplane landing gear in a simulated position.

(1)
Pressurize the hydraulic system B to 3000 psi (Ref 29-15-00/201, and 27-51-00/201).

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Retract the flaps with the flap control lever to the zero unit position and hold for 5 minutes.
NOTE: Do not use alternate drive.

Remove the fairing for the No. 4 inboard flap track.

Make a record of the dimension between the upstop of the ballscrew nut and the upstop on the screw yoke (AMM 27-51-32/501).

(6) Move the flap control lever to the 15 unit position.
NOTE: If it is necessary, position the flaps electrically until
____ dimension X is 23.17 to 23.32 inches more than the dimension you made a record of before (Ref 27-51-00/501).

(7) Adjust the switch:
(a)
Temporarily adjust the switch in the direction of the cam until it operates.
(b)
Turn the inner nut to move the switch away from the actuator cam until the switch operates.
NOTE: You will hear a click when the switch operates.

(c)
Tighten the inner and the outer checknuts on the switch.
(d)
Put a lockwire on the switch.
(e)
Do a check of the switch continuity or push on the switch roller and listen for the switch to operate.

Put the cover on the flap control unit.

Put the airplane on jacks (Ref 7-11-11/201).
