 (4)  Remove the switch (Fig 401):
 (a)  
Remove the inner checknut from the switch.

 (b)  
Remove the switch from the flap control unit.

 (c)  
Remove the switch electrical wires from the wire bundle.

 (d)  
Disconnect the connector.

 (e)  
Remove the switch pins from in the connector.

 3.  Flap Takeoff Warning Switch Installation________________________________________
 A. Equipment and Materials
 (1)  Flap Drum Checknut Wrench - 65-22958-1
 or F80197-1 or -5 Wrench Set

 D. Procedure
 S 424-007
 (1)  Install the switch (Fig 401):
 (a)  
Put the switch in its position in the flap control unit.

 (b)  
Install the inner checknut.

 (c)  
Put the switch wires into the wire bundle.

 (d)  
Tie the wire bundle and install new clamps, if it is necessary.

 (e)  
Cut the switch wires to the correct length.

 (f)  
Put the pins on the ends of the switch wires and into the connector.

 (g)  
Connect the electrical connector.

 (2) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) AURAL WARN
 2) LIGHTS
 3) GEAR SWITCH & ANTI-SKID TEST

 (3)  S 824-009Do this task: "Trailing Edge Flap System Adjustment" (Ref 27-51-00/501).
 (4)  S 864-010Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
 (5)  S 864-011Retract the flaps with the flap control lever to the zero unit position.
 (6)  S 014-013Remove the fairing for the No. 4 jackscrew.
 (7)  S 934-012Make a record of the dimension between the upstop of the ballscrew nut and the upstop on the screw yoke (Fig 401).
 (8)  S 864-014Move the flap control lever to the 15 unit position.
 (9)  S 864-015Set the flaps electrically until dimension X is 24.95 to 25.10 inches more than the dimension you made a record of before.

 (10) Adjust the switch:
 (a)  
Move the switch in the direction of the actuator cam until the switch operates. 1) Make sure the roller on the switch actuator shaft is flat

 in relation to the surface of the cam.

 (b)  
Tighten the inner and the outer checknuts.

 (c)  
Install the lockwire on the nuts.

 (11) Do this task: "Takeoff Warning System Test" (Ref 31-26-00/501).
 NOTE: It is not necessary to do the tests for the stabilizer trim
____ and the speed brakes.
