(9) Do this test of the fire signals from engine No. 1:
(a)
Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 29.
(b)
Set and hold the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE switch in the OVHT/FIRE position.
(c)
Make sure the ENG #1 fire light is on.
(d)
Make sure the BIT 12 light on the portable tester is on.
(e)
Release the FAULT/INOP--OVHT/FIRE light.
(f)
Make sure the ENG #1 fire light goes out.
(g)
Make sure the BIT 12 light on the portable tester is off.

1) ENG 1 R IGN
2) ENG 2 R IGN
3) ENG 2 L IGN

Make sure pneumatic pressure is not available to the two engines.

Make sure the fire handles are in the NORMAL position.

Do this test of the fuel cutoff signals:
(a)
Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 40.
(b)
Make sure the engine No. 1 start lever switch is in the CUTOFF position.
(c)
Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is on.
(d)
Put the engine No. 1 start lever switch in the START position.
(e)
Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is off.
(f)
Put the engine No. 1 start lever switch in the CUTOFF position.
(g)
Make sure the engine No. 2 start lever switch is in the CUTOFF position.
(h)
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is on.
(i)
Put the engine No. 2 start lever switch in the START position.
(j)
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is off.
(k)
Put the engine No. 2 start lever switch in the CUTOFF position.
