(2) Move the thrust lever to the idle position.
NOTE: The takeoff warn switch for the left thrust lever is S814.
____ The takeoff warn switch for the right thrust lever is S815.
S 865-163
(3) Put the protractor with the adapter on a thrust lever.
(a) Set the protractor to 0 degrees (Fig. 501).
NOTE: If you use Range Check on the FMC to measure the thrust
____ lever movement, do the instructions at the start of this procedure.
S 825-100
(4) Adjust the Thrust Lever operated Takeoff Warning Switch S814 or S815 (Fig. 502, Sheet 1).
NOTE: The engine control system must be correctly adjusted before
____
you adjust S814 or S815 (AMM 76-11-00/501).
(a)
Disconnect the electrical wires from one set of the switch terminals for the takeoff warning. 1) Tag the disconnected wires if it is necessary. 2) Get access to the applicable switch (AMM 31-26-21/401).
(b)
Connect an ohmmeter across the C and NO terminals.
1) Make sure there is no continuity between the C and NO terminals.

(c)
Move the thrust lever slowly until the switch operates (continuity between C and NO terminals). 1) Make sure the thrust lever is 32 +/- 1 degrees forward of
the idle stop.
(d)
If the switch does not operate at the correct position, adjust the position of the switch or its support bracket (AMM 31-26-21/401). 1) The switch will stay operated when the thrust lever is
moved to the full forward position.
(e)
Move the thrust lever to 34 degrees from the idle position. 1) Make sure the switch stays operated.
(f)
Move the thrust lever slowly to the idle position.
1) Make sure the switch stops to operate (no continuity between C and NO terminals) at 32 +/- 1 degrees from the idle stop position.
2) Make sure the switch stays in a not operated mode to the idle stop position. 3) Make sure that the two thrust levers are at the idle position. 4) Make sure there is continuity between terminals C and NC of each switch (S814 and S815).
(g)
Move the thrust levers slowly to the full forward position.
1) Make sure the switch operates and stops to operate as in the steps before.
(h)
If an adjustment of switches S822 thru S827 was necessary, do a check of switch terminal continuity/no continuity again.
S 085-164
(5)
Remove the ohmmeter.
(6)
Connect the electrical wires to the switch terminals.
