CLOCKS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of a clock. The second task is the installation of a clock.
B. There are two clocks; one in the captains instrument panel P1 and one in the first officers instrument panel P3.

A. Access

102 Control Cabon, RH
B. Procedure

(1) Remove the clock:
(a)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P6 Load Control Center
a) CLOCK
b) CLOCK DISPLAY
(b)
Loosen the top right and the bottom left clamp screws of the clock to be removed.
NOTE:____The clocks use four clamp screws. The top left and bottom right screws hold the mounting clamp to the instrument panel. The top right and bottom left hold the clamp against the clock.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONNECTORS ON THE
_______ CLOCK. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CLOCK.
(c)
Move the clock out of the panel.
(d)
Disconnect the electrical cable.

3. Clock Installation

C. Procedure

(1) Install the clock:
(a) Make sure these circuit breakers are open:
1) P6 Load Control Center
a) CLOCK
b) CLOCK DISPLAY
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONNECTORS ON THE
_______ CLOCK. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CLOCK.
(b)
Connect the electrical cable to the clock.
(c)
Move the clock into the panel.
(d)
Tighten the top right and the bottom left clamp screws.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the clock operation:
(a) Close these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Load Control Center
a) CLOCK

b) CLOCK DISPLAY
(b)
Set the clock to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
(c)
Let the clock operate for not less than two minutes.
(d)
Make sure the clock shows the correct time.

(4) Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
