(6) With the thrust levers at the idle position, put the protractor with
the adapter on the thrust levers.
(a) Set the protractor to 0 degrees (Fig. 501).
S 865-080
(7) To prevent the operation of the Takeoff Warning horn when you move
the thrust levers, put the airplane in the simulated AIR MODE.
(a) There are two different procedures to put the airplane into the
simulated air mode:
1) Push and hold the air sensing switch (S1) on the E11
landing gear logic shelf.
CAUTION: CAREFULLY PULL THE TELEFLEX CABLE UNTIL THE AIR MODE_______
SENSOR OPERATES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, YOU CAN
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR MODE SENSOR TARGET BRACKET.
2) Disconnect and extend the teleflex cable on one of the main
gear upper torsion links.
S 865-081
(8) Move the two thrust levers to a position of more than 33 degrees
from the idle position.
S 865-082
(9) Make sure the control lever for the landing gear is in the DN (down)
position.
(a) All the green landing gear lights will be on.
S 495-209
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCEDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(10)
Make sure you install the ground lock assemblies in all landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
S 485-064
(11)
Make sure that the external hydraulic pressure supply is connected to hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(a) Pressurize hydraulic systems A and B to 3000 psi (AMM 29-15-00/201, and AMM 27-51-00/201).

(1) Put the nose gear in a simulated retracted position as follows:
(a)
Put the landing gear lever in the off position. 1) Make sure that all the red landing gear lights come on. 2) Make sure all the green landing gear lights stay on and you
do not hear the warning horn.
(b)
Put an aluminum or copper deactuator shield between the lock sensor switch S846 and the steel actuator of the nose gear.
NOTE: Switch S846 is on the lock brace of the nose gear.
____
1) Make sure the green nose gear light goes off.
(c) Put an aluminum or copper deactuator shield between the nose gear down sensor switch S845 and the steel actuator arm.
NOTE: The switch is above the trunnion pin of the left nose
____
gear.
1) Make sure the green nose gear light stays off.
(d) Remove the aluminum or copper deactuator shield from the lock sensor switch S846. 1) Make sure the red nose gear light on the P2 panel goes off.
S 865-213
(2) Move the No. 1 thrust lever to the idle position.
(a)
Make sure you hear the continuous horn when the thrust lever is less than 8.5 degrees forward of the idle position.
(b)
Make sure the red light for the nose gear comes on.
