Make sure the rudder control system is serviceable (AMM 27-21-00/201).

Do this test of the position signals from the rudder:

 (a)  
Set the portable tester to the SUBFRAMEs and WORDs shown in the table.

 (b)  
Set the rudder to the applicable condition.

 (c)  
Make sure the portable tester displays agree with the values in the table.
