 C. Procedure
 S 864-020
 (1)  Make sure these circuit breakers are open on the P6-2 panel:
 (a)  
EIS PRIMARY 1

 (b)  
EIS PRIMARY 2

 (c)  
EIS PRIMARY 3

 (d)  
EIS PRIMARY 4

 CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONNECTORS ON THE
_______ CLOCK. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CLOCK.
 WHEN YOU INSTALL THE DISPLAY UNIT, BE VERY CAREFUL TO PREVENT SCRATCHES OR CRACKS TO THE UNIT GLASS SURFACE. BECAUSE THE UNIT GLASS FRONT IS TIGHTLY BONDED, IT IS EXPENSIVE AND NOT EASY TO REPLACE IT.
 (2)  Install the EIS Primary Display:
 (a)  Connect the four electrical cables to the rear of the display unit.
 NOTE: Connectors J1 and J3 are for the engine 1 (left channel)
____ and connectors J2 and J4 are for the engine 2 (right channel).
 (b)  
Carefully install the display unit into the P2 panel.

 (c)  
Tighten four mounting clamp screws.

 (3)  
Close these circuit breakers on the P6-2 panel:

 (a)  
EIS PRIMARY 1

 (b)  
EIS PRIMARY 2

 (c)  
EIS PRIMARY 3

 (d)  
EIS PRIMARY 4

 

 (4)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (5)  Do a BITE test of the EIS Primary Display:
 NOTE: If the input signal of actual N1 is 10 %RPM or more on one of
____
 the two engines, then you cannot do a BITE test.

 (a)  
Set the DIM/BRT/TEST switch on the P1-3 or P2-1 panel to the TEST position. 1) Make sure the red (over-limit) warning lights above the N1,

 N2 and EGT displays come on.

 (b)  
Release the DIM/BRT/TEST switch.
 1) Make sure the warning lights go off.


 (c)  
Push and hold the BITE switch in the bottom of the front bezel on the Primary Display. 1) If the BITE test is unsatisfactory:


 Make sure that a fault code is shown on the digital display counter during the BITE sequence.
 2)  If the BITE test is satisfactory: Make sure you see these indications on the EIS Primary Display: a) All 16 segments in each of the 5 characters of the TMA
 display come on (for EFIS configured airplanes only). b) All segments of each numeral on each MAN SET counter
 come on. c) Each of the %N1 limit counter displays show 188.8. d) All pointers and counters of %N1, EGT, %N2, and FF
 parameters set to 0 and then go to full scale. e) The counters indications follow those of their pointer. f) The N1 bug changes from 55 to 106 %RPM. g) The %N1, EGT, and %N2 warning lights come on when their
 pointers go into the red band. h) The %N1, EGT, %N2, and FF displays then change to the values that are shown below:
 . N1: 106 | 0.1 %RPM
 . EGT: 930 | 2.5 °C (flashing)
 . N2: 105.0 | 0.1 %RPM
 . FF: 10,000 | 10 PPH (Pound Version),

 5,000 | 5 KGPH (Kilogram Version)
 (d)  Release the BITE switch.
 1)  Make sure all the displays change to their initial conditions before the BITE test.

 (6)  Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 EIS SECONDARY DISPLAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the EIS Secondary Display. The second task is the installation of the EIS Secondary Display, this includes a subtask for the EIS BITE test.
