STABILIZER TAKEOFF WARNING SWITCHES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The tasks are a removal and an installation of the stabilizer takeoff warning switches. There are two switches -- the upper (APL NOSE DN - S546) and the lower (APL NOSE UP -S132).
B. Each switch is operated by an upper and a lower limit switch cam.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) AURAL WARN
2) LIGHTS
(2)
Open the stabilizer trim access door.
(3)
Find the applicable switch (Fig. 401).

Remove the switch:
(a)
Disconnect the switch wires at the splice.
(b)
Remove the locknut and the retainer nut from the switch shaft.
