 (1)  
Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

 (2)  
Do this test of the signals from the airborne vibration monitor:

 NOTE: Some ARINC 429 transmitters do not produce enough current to
____ generate the desired test results. Instead, the ARINC 429 transmitter can cause a value of 3000 to show on the portable tester. If you get a value of 3000, use a different tester and do the test again.
 (a)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Panel
 a) ENG VIB MON

 (b)  
Remove the Anti-Vibration Monitor (AVM) signal conditioner from the E1-2 electronics shelf in the main equipment center (AMM 77-31-03/401).

 (c)  
Connect the (A) side of the ARINC 429 test set to pin C6 on connector D3228A.

 (d)  
Connect the (B) side of the ARINC 429 test set to pin D6 on connector D3228A.

 (e)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Panel
 a) ENG VIB MON

 (f)  
Set the 429 test set to transmit on channel 1 at low speed.

 (g)  
Set the ARINC 429 test set as follows:
 1) LABEL 354
 2) update rate is 200ms

 (h)  
Set the ARINC 429 test set to these bit conditions:

 NOTE: The FLS setting is only applicable to the Interface
____
 Technology model 429A test set.

Set the portable tester to SUPERFRAME 1, SUBFRAME 1, WORD 30.

 (j)  
Make sure the portable tester display is 0300.

 NOTE:____This is a SUPERFRAME. The portable tester display will show for four seconds. The applicable display will show again after 64 seconds.

 (k)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Panel
 a) ENG VIB MON

 (l)  
Remove the ARINC 429 test set.
